Men’s Dive Tech 80’s Tee

The sport of diving changed forever in the 80’s with the significant advancements in technology, training, and dive planning. PADI’s introduction of the Recreational Dive Planner based upon a completely new decompression model specifically created for recreational no-stop decompression diving marked the intersection of diving science and technology. The result? Greatly improved safety and education making diving an accessible sport for all. We’re celebrating this evolution with a “high tech”, 80’s inspired design in “totally tubular” neon colors on an organic t-shirt symbolizing the next era in our sport.

The late 80’s saw considerable refinements in the dive equipment (including the first consumer electronic dive computer) coupled by the revolution in training led by PADI, completely altering the public perception of diving.  A truly significant development, however, was the introduction of the Recreational Dive Planner by PADI. Created by Diving Science & Technology, the RDP reapplied established decompression modeling specifically for use by recreational divers, followed by human testing to verify the model's accuracy. Introduced in 1988, the RDP quickly became the world's most popular dive tables.
